get to Colesberg, which is in the Northern Cape, on
the N1, 600km from Johannesburg, and 800km from Cape Town.
We have a new interchange. I dont have photos of the turn offs.
Whichever side you come from look for and take the Colesberg turn off.
From the Bloemfontein / Johannesburg side you will come to a stop street at a T junction. Turn right over the bridge, then left, then right again at the Merino Inn/ Merino stop intersection.
From the Cape Town (N1) side go past the stop sign then turn right at the Merino Inn/ Merino stop intersection.
From the PE/EL side (N9) side go over the bridge and turn first left at the Merino Inn/ Merino stop intersection.
If you come through Colesberg travel up
Station / Church Street (R58) in the direction of the Dutch Reformed
Church. At the church turn left, and then sweep
right up Ventershoek Street past our house (No 9). At La Provence turn
right into Sluiter Street past the Caltex Garage and over the bridge,
then left at the stop sign, and then right at the Merino Inn/ Merino stop intersection.
In all cases you will then go between the Merino Inn turn off on the right, and the Country Club on the left .
Leave Coleskop on your right.
Travel for 7km until you come to thePlatberg Farm sign which is prominently mounted on an old red tractor, where you turn right. Travel for 20km.
Cross the Seacow River by the low level
bridge. Turn right again immediately, and travel 1km to the Tzamenkomst
